Sugar Sugar Sugar one of The most addictive substances on the planet!

Have you ever thought about why it is so difficult to give up?
Once you taste it, you start craving more right?  Creating an addiction.

There is much evidence that white sugar robs the body of B vitamins, disrupts calcium metabolism and has a deleterious effect on the nervous system. This is why processed sugar is bad for you.

Sugar is over 97 per cent sucrose and such a concentration of sugar can only bring harm to the body.

It rots your teeth by disrupting calcium metabolism, with white sugar being the biggest culprit, but light brown or brown sugar are not much better for you, the refining process is the same but concentrations of molasses are added for colour variation

We eat sugar (or any carbs for that matter), which creates a spike in our blood sugar levels, then the pancreas secretes insulin into the bloodstream, the insulin diverts that glucose out of the blood and into the muscles, liver and fat cells.

It is the job of insulin to keep sugar levels balanced - without the insulin, glucose would be highly toxic to the body.   Why do diabetics use insulin, merely to function and stay alive.

But Insulin is a storage hormone, it moves the glucose from the bloodstream into fat cells to be stored and this could then lead to a problem with weight gain and being unable to burn fat.

If you understand the refining process, you will realize sugar is merely an addictive chemical for sweetening food and beverages and has no nutritional value whatsoever.

There is hope for turning this habit around and creating better health choices.
