Eating fruits and vegetables, whole is the healthy choice.

People are generally more likely to eat fruit than vegetables as it is more convenient and  no cooking is required.  As an example, eating an apple is good for massaging the gums and good exercise for the jaw.

Chewing food is healthy for digestion and for the feeling of fullness.

Juicing is useful for getting a lot more variety in your diet as long as the juice is home-made, to avoid the excess sugars and chemicals added when purchased.

Vegetables, on the other hand normally require the preparation and cooking - today our lifestyle is more about speed and convenience, but convenience means we could miss out on essential nutrients..

Juicing vegetables are beneficial because you are juicing the raw product which provides more nutritional value - cooking and heating may destroy some essential vitamins in the process.

Some people may not eat enough fruit and vegetables daily, this may be due to poor health, special dietary needs or just lack of time, therefore juicing may be a useful option.

The other factor for eating whole fruit and vegetables is that essential fibre is lost in the juicing process - fibre is essential because it helps to regulate blood sugar and is important for the function of your digestive system.

In summary whole foods are much better for the body and juicing is an alternative choice for convenience and for those who would not normally eat fruit and vegetables on a regular basis.
